Resources - Events in the Cotswolds
There is a lot to do in the Cotswolds at any time of the year, but in summer there are many local events - a touring circus, music concerts, open gardens, village fetes, street parties.
Circus
Giffords Circus: Local circus performs shows on village greens throughout the Cotswolds from May to September. Top quality circus acts combined with a play (Summer 2011 was War and Peace). Great for kids and adults too (we loved it).
Music
Corelli Concerts: Corelli Orchestra and Corelli Ensemble, local group based in Cheltenham who perform in various places in and near the Cotswolds throughout the year.
Three Choirs Festival: An international classical music festival presented in August each year by rotation in the cathedral cities of Gloucester, Hereford and Worcester. Choral and orchestral music in a quintessentially English setting.
The Stuart Singers: Choir based in Minchinhampton - they do concerts in the area (southern Cotswolds).
Open Gardens
NGS - Open Gardens: Local gardens open for charity, different weekends in the summer throught the Cotwolds and the country.
