A walk through the market town of Nailsworth, in the southern Cotswolds. Nailsworth is not your typical Cotswold market town and is frequently overlooked by tourists, but it is a great town to visit or stay in. For years we drove through Nailsworth and never stopped. Much of the town stretches along the busy A46 that goes from Bath to Stroud and the B4014 to Tetbury. When we finally stopped we found that the traffic goes slowly through the town because of the main roundabout on the A46, the sidewalks are wide and there are several places to cross. Also, there is another part of the town west of the A46 with peacefull streets and more shops and restaurants. Read more about Nailsworth.

The Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty north of Bath, is our favorite area of England. Stay in a delightful cottage, explore the historic houses and gardens, walk through the countryside on the miles of public footpaths, spend a rainy afternoon in a tea room, have a cosy dinner in the local pub.
