Veg Shed near Tetbury
The Veg Shed near Tetbury sells organic produce from the Duchy Home Farm and other local products. They have a good variety of seasonal produce plus organic meat and other local products. The Duchy Home Farm is owned by HRH The Price of Wales (Prince Charles) and several of their farms are in the Tetbury area.
Hours: Wednesday - Saturday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Directions: Going from Tetbury south-west on the A433 (direction Bath) you will see a sign for the Veg Shed on your left about a mile outside of town. Turn left on the road to Shipton Moyne, then take the second left (signed) on a lane to the farm shop. (Note, the Veg Shed recently moved to this location.)
August vegetables
We go to the Veg Shed every week or two. Their vegetables are the best that I have ever had. They provide great seasonal produce year-round. They offer several types of potatoes, onions and squash. The potatoes and carrots have the field dirt clinging to them and some of the potatoes are huge - great for baking. In the summer they have very good courgettes (zucchini) and salad bags filled with a variety of greens, herbs and edible flowers.
If you are visiting the South Cotswolds and staying in a vacation rental where you can do your own cooking, I recommend a trip to the Veg Shed.
